Christmas

          Christmas is ......

A time of blessings and happiness,
A time of caroling and songs,
          A time for giving thanks,
A time for presents for all,
A time of good cheer and friendship,
A time of love for all,
          A time to help others,
But most of all, Christmas is a time to stop and thank God for all we have and especially for
the birth of our Saviour that first Christmas morn.

May it be so for all my lovely blog friends. Do trust you all have a safe and happy time over the festive season. We are heading South to have time with our families down there and to enjoy time with our new little Great Grandson - we are looking forward to that. He is so responsive now - we get a lot of videos and photos of his progress but there's nothing like being with him. What fun!!

Today I have a couple of cards to showcase which I do hope you enjoy. Sorry they are not Christmas cards - I have done my dash on them for this year!

This is a 5 1/4" square card, the die I have used is a Sue Wilson Die, Lattice Arched Adornment, CED6302 which I cut in half placing half at the top and half at the bottom. The sentiment is cut using Spellbinder's Fancy Tags Three and again some foamiran flowers also some bling. The cabochon was one of my finds at SENZ.

For this card I have used an Elizabeth Die, Lace Pocket, 1328, otherwise it is very simple, as there is not much else needed to complete the card. Some bling and foamiran flowers, that's all. I do love this die,it is stunning.

Well that's it ladies again, for another year - I just don't know where it has gone!! Thank you all so much for the support I have been given over the year - I do enjoy being in touch and are so thankful for each and every one of you and for your emails etc that I have received. What an amazing lot of friends I have made through this paper crafting hobby.

Until next time, happy crafting and if travelling do take care over the holiday period. It may not be until next year that I am able to blog again. May you all know God's blessing and care.

Playing With Mega Flakes

Geraldine has put on some very hot weather these past days but it does sound as though most of the country  is having similar. The lawns are starting to brown off and things do look a bit dry altogether. I must say it's too hot for me, just about have melted!! Dare say we shouldn't complain though as it won't seem long until Winter is here again, in New Zealand. One can never be satisfied - human nature, isn't it?

I have been rather busy these past weeks what with teaching classes etc but I have found time to play with the IndigoBlu Mega Flakes. I have so enjoyed this little exercise, so thought today I would share some cards I have made. I do love the results and would love to know your thoughts. Of course it does show up better in real life, but we will have to make do with photos. Do click the photos for a clearer image.

Now, for this card I have cut out a Tonic Studios, Floral Blooms Die, 1332e using black card. I then attached it to some Jak Paper after which I covered it with the flakes, trimmed it then made the card. I love the result. Liz and Graham kindly gave me a Go Press and Foil Machine and the sentiment is done using it and a hot foil stamp. I am sure having fun with it as well!! Foamiran flowers complete this simple card.

Some time ago I bought an Ultimate Craft's, Magnolia Collection, ULT1533 and for this card I have used it. Cut out the die using cream card, placed onto Jak Paper and then added the flakes. The effect is stunning. The greeting is a Rub On which went perfectly with the colour of the border card. Again foamiran flowers.

Spellbinders to the fore this time. Grateful Lattice Die was cut using black card again adding Jak Paper, then the flakes. I have used my Go Press and Foil again for the sentiment and another Hot Foil Stamp. Artfull Crafts sure spoils me and I am loving it!! Thanks so much Liz and Graham.

That's it ladies - I am going to see if I can find a cooler place to hide. My workroom is on the colder side of the house so will be just fine, hopefully. Thanks so much for stopping by - I really do appreciate you all. Happy crafting and don't get too stressed out with the Christmas preparations - very close now!! May you all know God's blessing at this time,
