Two Wedding Cards - Plus

Monday morning greetings again, to all.

Life is settling back into routine again what with all the  "gettogethers" etc beginning. It is sure nice to be back seeing all one's friends after the Christmas break - it is funny how we all miss each other after a while!

Now today I thought I would share a couple of cards which I have made for weddings, one we were guests at and the other was for an order.

The pearlized card is always lovely to work with. I have used two different embossing folders, some antique lace and the border along the bottom is cut with a Martha Stewart punch. The love is cut using a Kaisercraft Die and mirror gold card and I have sewn a zig zag stitch using my sewing machine. Some flowers and pearls complete this card. Do hope Calista and Jonathan liked it!

A 5 1/4" square card card for Kiri and Josh's card. A Sue Wilson Die was used for the fancy edges, Triple Gemini, Centaurus, CED4419, and for the heart   I have used a Memory Box Die, La Rue Heart,98255. The collection of papers is a recent one from Kaisercraft, I Love You. Prima flowers completed this card.

Now as promised last week I am sharing the three quilt tops I have made over the holidays. They still have to be sandwiched and quilted which does make a huge difference, especially when Ali does them for me. She is a miracle worker!!

A bargello quilt which are always fun to make.

A shadow box quilt using left-over Kaffe Fassett fabrics which I used on a previous quilt.

This one is called Love In Paris - I fell in love with this one when I saw it on line, hence I had to do it!! I am actually going to quilt this one myself, as it is only a wallhanging and I can manage that size.

That's it today ladies. Trusting you are all enjoying having the children back at school, that is the ones that have started, and now having time to get into a little crafting. Thanks so much for stopping by, be in touch again next week hopefully. Many blessings to you all,

Back On The Radar

Good morning to all. My apologies again for last week's non appearance but I was out socialising with a very good friend and it completely slipped my memory. I will try and make up for it this week though!

As, up to this point, I am not into card making mode again ( patch working seems to have taken over and I am thoroughly enjoying it!) I have had to dig a little deeper into my resources. Anyway here goes ladies.

This card was made at the end of last year for our lovely daughter-in-law. For this one I have used a Sue Wilson Die, Scattered leaves, CED7103. As no doubt you will agree, the die does make an elegant card without too many embellishments etc. Cards always do need flowers though!!

A card made for a special friend and for it I have used an older die, Marianne Design, LR0152 for bordering the Pion Papers image. A bit lace adds a little softness to this card. My favourite sized card, 5 1/4" square.

Hopefully next week, I will share what I have been doing as far as patch work goes. Just have to photograph the three quilt tops I have been working on. Must away ladies as I have CARDS to make, birthdays are creeping up on me now, so I can't put them off any longer.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next week, happy crafting and may God bless you all.

The New Year

Well to my special blog friends at the beginning of 2017, a very happy New Year to you all.

The New Year lies before you
Like a spotless tract of snow
Be careful how you tread on it
                                 For every mark will show.

                                                           Isn't that so true!

A very happy Christmas was had by all our family - we had a lovely time together at Hamner and we shared it with a super family from Germany. New Year celebrations were busy as well, as friends got married on the last day of the year and there was a number of functions in connection with that. It was such a lovely time altogether, catching up on many people we hadn't seen for some time and making a few new contacts.

Now, it's back into work mode, if one can call it that!! I have had to make cards over the holidays so thought I would share a couple of these this morning.

The request was for a sparkly card for a friend, hence this is the result. The border round the edge was cut using a Kaisercraft Die, Card Creations Borders, DD542 and the butterfly is a Marianne Design, LR0115. One of my favourite 5 1/4" square cards.

My special friend had her birthday just ahead of mine and this was the card I produced for her. For this one I have used a Sue Wilson Die, Swirly Vine, CED7106. The image is one off some Pion Papers that I have collected - again, another 51/4" square card.

Well ladies, lovely to be in touch again. I do hope you all had an enjoyable break over the holiday period. Looking forward to the year ahead and all it has in store, whatever it may be. Much love to each and every one of you and we trust you will know God's blessing in a very real way, for 2017.
