Three New Cards Using Story Teller

Well ladies, I haven't as yet disappeared altogether but I certainly have been busy with various appointments etc. Am now back into routine and all's well as far as we can tell - well, the Doctors that is! Do hope to fill the various engagements, that we have ahead of us, over the next month or two. Sorry I wasn't on the ball last week.

On Friday evening, at Artfull Crafts, we had the showcase of Kaisercraft's next three month's collections - what a treat you are all in for! A fun evening was had by all. Today I would like to share three cards that I have made using the Story Teller collection, which is one that they have brought out for this month.

I love these Spellbinders Dies I have used for this card. A2 Scalloped Borders One for the outer edges and  Marianne Creatables, LR0272 for the centre. Both are gorgeous, I think you will agree!

For the outside edge of this card I have used the Martha Stewart Cherish border punch.  The organza flowers are from Kaisercraft as well as the main ones. Tags always look nice on cards Love the colours!

This is a simple card, making use of the collectables which come with the range. I fussy cut the bottom border from one of the papers, added it, then the other bits and pieces. The flowers are also Kaisercrafts.

Well ladies, hope you are all keeping warm wherever you are and whatever you are doing - Winter has certainly arrived with a vengeance, here in New Zealand, but we have to admit it is WINTER. Just have to hibernate in our workrooms, until the sun shines again. Not too hard a life really! I am actually preparing to take a class on Wednesday, in Timaru, for Liz, so have plenty of preparing to do. I do love getting with all these lovely ladies and we do have fun.

All today, with many blessings to you all,

Honey Chai Cards.

Good morning all - yes, I know I am a day late but yesterday morning I had a very special appointment at Timaru which I could not get out off! Feeling a lot better today and ready to get some work done!

I would like to share the Honey Chai cards that I did for the Kaisercraft Workshop Magazine, for the month of April. I have just added a blog post at Artfull Crafts and have shown the Happy Snaps range which was also April's. The collections are quite different but I did enjoy working with them both. Kaisercraft have been bringing out some lovely ranges lately - it is hard to pick my favourite.

As you can see, I have used a considerable amount of the collectables for these cards. They do make card making so much easier and they are in the packs for that reason. Very simple cards which are quite self explanatory - the Cherry Lynn Step Card Die was used to cut the first card out. One of my favourites!

We are having a lot of cool damp days lately but I do suppose we have to remember it is Autumn - we will have to join our son and daughter-in-law in Vanuatu or our daughter and son-in-law in Australia, to maybe get some sun. Well, I hope they are anyway!

A great day for spending time in one's workroom, hopefully to achieve something. Happy crafting to you all, keep warm and many blessings.

Three Cards for Orders

Monday again ladies - how is everyone getting on this morning? Hope you have all had a relaxing weekend before the routine of school starts again. We have had two of our grandchildren staying, with their Mum, for a couple of days during the holidays and it was lovely - certainly broke the monotony for " Darby and Joan "! Liz, at Artfull Crafts, had a card making class for kids on Wednesday afternoon,  so our two thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks goes to Liz, for an excellent  class. Millie and Harvey are now hooked, not that they weren't before - my workroom is usually one for their first ports of call!

Here are three cards that I have made for orders, that I would like to share today, The production line hasn't been up to scratch lately, but hopefully it won't be long until we are back  to our usual.

A step card,  using the Cherry Lynn Step Card Die. For this one, I have used the Hidden Treasures Collection from Kaisercraft, which was one of their October 2013 ranges. I love the navy and gold combination.

A simple tent fold card. This collection is called Tea Break, again from Kaisercraft, November 2013. The sentiment has been printed off using my computer.

Now, I will have to admit I can't remember where this collection was from!! I am rather fond of the shaped easel cards - I have used the Spellbinders Labels 20 to cut out this shape and it went together very easy.

No outside jobs today, as it is raining AGAIN so I will just sneak into my workroom  and see what I can come up with. Do remember the challenges at Artfull Crafts for this month, "Anything Goes" and there is a great sketch you can follow. Lots of prizes to be won, it is a lot of fun and we love seeing what you come up with.

Happy crafting ladies and may you all know God's blessing,

Betsy  xxx
