Birthday Cards

Good morning to all you lovely ladies, and what a fabulous morning it is here.

Today I would like to share with you, some birthday cards I have made for friends. I'm sure the friends won't mind! I do enjoy personalising cards for a particular person - checking on their favourite colour, interests etc.
Of course, it makes it so much easier when you know that person well.

Firstly, I must show you one I have made for our lovely daughter who is celebrating her birthday today. I won't share how old, as I may embarress her but it certainly was a very happy day, THAT many years ago!
A very special birthday Rachelle.

For the outside edge I have used Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 then  Spellbinders Floral Ovals for the centre. It is a sneak peek at one of Kaisercraft's March collections which is Bluebells. You're going to love it!!

Joanne's card was made using was made using a Kaisercraft collection, Secret Admirer from December 2012. I really did love this range, very pretty! Martha Stewart's Floral Vine Deep Edge punch I have used to cut the borders. It is a 5 1/4" square card.

Time really is getting away on Doreen!! It has slipped my memory which papers I have used here but I do know it was the Tim Holtz Weathered Clock Die. Again a 5 1/4" square card.

Another little sneak peek of the gorgeous Bluebells Collection from Kaisercraft. Just wetting your appetite ladies! Spellbinder's Fleur de Lis squares were used to cut the frame.

Do check out what's going on at Aftfull Crafts - Liz always has some exciting things happening! We are all looking forward to the camp and welcoming Trina McClune as one of the tutors. There are also challenges and prizes to be won ladies so do check them out.

Happy crafting to all and many blessings. "Til next week,

Four Birthday Cards

Good morning to all my blog friends.

So sorry I missed putting up a blog last week but we were so busy, time just got away on me. Firstly, a number of us "girls " had a weekend retreat, which was so enjoyable, rushed home Sunday PM then off to Christchurch as I had a early dentist appointment Monday morning. Home Tuesday night then Timaru on Wednesday, for the day, Thursday patchwork then back to Christchurch for the Patchwork and Craft show on Friday. Do think I'm getting a trifle old for all this rushing around!! It was all most enjoyable though - back to routine now.

Today I am going to share four cards that I have made for various birthdays - some family and some friends.

I have used the Base Coat collection, from Kaisercraft, for this card, for Anthony. The clock is a wooden flourish, I picked up, when I was in Australia.

Do Crafts brought out these decoupage  images and paper, a month or so back. For this card I 3D'ed the image then made a recessed window card. Was pleased with the end result and so was Patti!

Samuel, our grandson, is dreaming of the day when he gets his trail bike - he's saving hard! Attitude Collection is just great for boy's cards. The picture was found on the web.

Another grandson, Harvey, who has just turned 7. He is a character and so cute. Blast Off range from Kaisercraft was used, which has lots of collectables and makes the card making job so much easier. The step card die is from Cherry Lynn Designs, B348 - I do find it great and use it a lot. No measuring and cutting with this one!

That's it today ladies. Happy crafting to you all and God's blessings,

Saturated Canary Cards

Hello to all my friends. Monday again ladies and what a lovely day it is.

Now that school is back, we are going to get our usual settled Summer weather. That's how it normally goes, isn't it!?

Being a creature of habit, it is so nice to get back into routine, even though I have enjoyed the break. Four of us " GIRLS" are planning a retreat this weekend so I am really looking forward to that. Cardmaking is really the objective but just being together, is so enjoyable. If this weather holds maybe there might be more sitting out in the sun, with our books! We'll just have to play it by ear!

Over the holidays I have been having so much fun with the Saturated Canary digital stamps, colouring with the Kaiserfusion alcohol pens. No thinking required for that and they are fun to do. I am still perfecting my colouring technique - they say, practice makes perfect! So here goes ladies.

As you no doubt can tell, I am rather fond of these cute girls! You will get a better viewing if you click on the images.

Thanks for taking the time to check this out ladies, I do appreciate you all. If there are any queries, don't hesitate to contact me, as I would love to be of help, where possible.

Happy crafting to you all and trust you will all be blessed, as we head into another year.
